Poised on the cusp of a sea change in Information and Communication Technology, the 2018 ASIA AFRICA ICT & DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT scheduled for 1st – 2nd December, 2018 in Mumbai (India) is a harbinger of transformative metamorphosis and heralds a new era in high-level collaborations between India and the African countries.

*PLEASE NOTE: Due to enhanced security policies, media attendees will not be allowed to enter the LACC to pick up their media badges until they’ve presented their approved bar code to security. Please plan accordingly.

Qualifications: Qualifications of all media outlets will be determined by the Event Convener media registration staff. Employees of media outlets who do not work in an editorial capacity will not qualify for a media badge, including Art Directors, District Managers, Graphic Designers, Publishers, Managers, Social Media Managers, Marketing Representatives, Public Relations Personnel, Sales Representatives, and Senior Level Managerial staff. Working journalists 17 years of age or older that fall under one of the below categories may register for a media badge:

Print Media (Newspapers, Magazines, Newsletters, etc.) – To qualify as media, print journalists must provide ALL of the following:

  • A copy of your business card with name, editorial title, and media outlet’s logo
  • A copy of your driver’s license or government issued photo identification clearly showing your name and date of birth (no one under 17 years of age will be admitted)
  • International media must submit a copy of your passport
  • A bylined article from your publication written by you and published within the past  three months (the copy must clearly show the name of your publication and your byline)
  • If possible, the 2018 ASIA AFRICA ICT & DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT media registration staff (who reviews all applications) encourages all applicants to submit links to articles that appear online as well as in print
    *Kindly Note: For onsite registration, please bring at least one complete issue, published within the past three months.

Freelance Journalists – Freelance writers from unqualified media outlets will not be admitted. In order to qualify as media, we require that you provide ALL of the following:

  • A copy of your driver’s license or government issued photo identification clearly showing your name and date of birth (no one under 17 years of age will be admitted) International media must submit a copy of your passport
  • A letter from a publisher, editor, or producer (on their letterhead) stating that you are covering the 2018 Asia Africa ICT & Development Summit, Expo, and Awards assignment
  • A bylined interactive entertainment industry related article from your publication (above) written by you and published within the past three months (the copy must clearly show the name of the publication and your byline)

Broadcast Journalists and Photographers – Each member of a broadcast crew must register separately. To qualify as media, please provide ALL of the following:

  • A copy of your driver’s license or government issued photo identification clearly showing your name and date of birth (no one under 17 years of age will be admitted) International media must submit a copy of your passport
  • A copy of your business card with name, editorial title, and media outlet’s logo
  • A letter from a producer/editor (on company letterhead) stating that you are covering the 2018 ASIA AFRICA ICT & DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT on assignment
  • If possible, the 2018 ASIA AFRICA ICT & DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT media registration staff (who reviews all applications) encourages all applicants to submit links to segments they’ve hosted that are available online

Online Reporters – Websites and podcasts must be previously established (fully launched and operational for at least six months) and updated regularly with original and current interactive entertainment industry news. To qualify as online media, please provide ALL of the following:

  • A copy of your driver’s license or government issued photo identification clearly showing your name and date of birth (no one under 17 years of age will be admitted) International media must submit a copy of your passport
  • A copy of your business card with name, editorial title, and media outlet’s logo, AND URLs to your articles with your name and title appearing in an editorial capacity. Your articles must have been published within the past three months
  • Note: All online outlets must meet minimum site traffic and rank requirements that vary from year to year. The 2018 ASIA AFRICA ICT & DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT will use the measurement site Similar Web PRO to evaluate each site’s traffic and rank. The 2018 ASIA AFRICA ICT & DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT media cannot accept first party analytics.

Industry and Financial Analysts – Please provide ALL of the following:

  • A copy of your driver’s license or government issued photo identification clearly showing your name and date of birth (no one under 17 years of age will be admitted) International media must submit a copy of your passport
  • A copy of your business card with name, title, and company logo
  • A recent report or bulletin on interactive entertainment with your byline written within the past three months

YouTube / Twitch / Mixer Channels –Please provide ALL of the following:

  • A copy of your driver’s license or government issued photo identification clearly showing your name and date of birth (no one under 17 years of age will be admitted) International media must submit a copy of your passport
  • A copy of your business card with name, title, and company logo
  • Links to your channel/videos with your face clearly present. If you are a producer, director, or part of the production team, please provide a link where you are credited within the video or on the channel page
    *Kindly Note: All YouTube channels must meet a minimum requirement of 100,000 subscribers and 50,000 views per video to be considered for a 2018 ASIA AFRICA ICT & DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT media badge. The media team will also evaluate channels based on content produced, which should include original and current (within the past three months) interactive entertainment industry news (tips, cheats, and walkthroughs are acceptable).

Production Companies – Please provide ALL of the following:

  • A copy of your driver’s license or government issued photo identification clearly showing your name and date of birth (no one under 17 years of age will be admitted) International media must submit a copy of your passport
  • A copy of your business card with name, title, and company logo
  • A letter (on company letterhead) from an editor/producer at a broadcast or editorial outlet stating that your company has been hired to cover the 2018 ASIA AFRICA ICT & DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT on assignment, and where coverage will appear
  • Links to three pieces of work you have previously produced
    *Kindly Note: Production companies MUST be hired by a broadcast or editorial outlet in order to be issued the 2018 ASIA AFRICA ICT & DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT media badges. The 2018 ASIA AFRICA ICT & DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT media registration staff will not issue badges to companies who have not been hired by a broadcast or editorial outlet.

Podcasts ­– Please provide ALL of the following:

  • A copy of your driver’s license or government issued photo identification clearly showing your name and date of birth (no one under 17 years of age will be admitted) International media must submit a copy of your passport
  • A copy of your business card with name, title, and company logo
  • A letter from a producer/editor (on company letterhead) with contact information stating that you are covering the 2018 ASIA AFRICA ICT & DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT on assignment. If you are a producer, or part of the production team, please provide a link where you are credited.
  • Links to your podcast on iTunes, YouTube, SoundCloud, and/or Stitcher.
